This week I'm writing about my figurative paintings.  They are meant to be about human interactions.  The way we relate; the way we communicate.  I see them as complementary to the cityscapes which have no depictions of people.  In the cityscapes our imprint is there, the connection to humans is implied in the fact that we built them, planned them and intended to use them to interact within.  However, all the interactions between people are left for the figurative paintings themselves.  I really wanted to remove the architecture and it's inherent influence on us and have that very specific focus: the interaction.
